High Rise Pvt Ltd, the Baa Atoll Council and the Eydhafushi Island Council have signed an agreement to host the first-ever business expo to be held in an atoll, scheduled to take place in Eydhafushi, Baa Atoll.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Atoll Council by Secretary General Mohamed Ikram, while Eydhafushi Island Council was represented by its President Mohamed Fathih. High Rise Pvt Ltd was represented by its Sales and Marketing Director Mariyam Maaisha.
Speaking about the initiative, Council President Fathih described the event as the largest business expo ever to be organised in the atolls. He noted that the expo is expected to stimulate the island’s economy, create new business opportunities, and contribute to the growth of tourism and commerce within the atoll. He further highlighted its importance in supporting the overall development of the region.
The expo aims to provide a platform for major companies and brands operating in Malé to expand into the atoll market. By bringing businesses and customers together in one venue, the event will allow participants to showcase their products and services directly to the local community.
Several partners have already confirmed their participation. Eydhafushi Red Star has joined as both the main sponsor and silver sponsor. Coca-Cola has signed on as the beverage partner, while Maldives Movements will provide sound and lighting services. Fi-Es Systems is the technology partner, and Island Chief will serve as the tabloid partner. The first confirmed exhibitor is the Commercial Bank of Maldives.
Organisers have opened participation to all interested businesses and stakeholders.
The business expo is scheduled to be held after the upcoming month of Ramadan and will be accompanied by a special Eid show.
