Malé City Group of Hospitals (MCGH) has announced that eye clinics operating at government hospitals have so far provided free eyeglasses to more than 24,000 Maldivians.
Speaking on an MMTV programme, MCGH CEO Ibrahim Abdurrazzaq Haleem said the total value of the service provided through Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), Hulhumalé Hospital, Addu Equatorial Hospital and Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital amounts to about Rf 48 million.

Aasandha’s subsidy for eyeglasses, previously Rf 1,000 once every two years, has been increased to Rf 2,000 from June this year.
