President Dr. Muizzu has given assurance that the social housing projects the government has decided to provide in Rasmalé will not change at all because of the economic project planned there.
Speaking on the Nation Chat programme, the President said that reclamation of Rasmalé's 1,100 hectares of land is 70 percent complete, and that reclamation would finish within the next two to three months.

He also said that even if a foreign company is given the opportunity to invest, no plot or flat project designated for the public would be cancelled.
Although the overall project is a 10-year plan, preparations are underway to begin utility works in the early part of next year.
